The Myths are 100% True Demo has hit the 1 Year Anniversary sense it's release, and so we Updated it!

Where did the time go? Well, we were making the rest of the game, that's where.

But we took the time to update the demo with all the quality of life changes we put in over the year, now it's nice and even smoother.

We even got a new Power-Up at the shop that's really fun to use. Here's a video all about that:

The Full Game's progress is going well enough I'd say. We have a release date in mind, but we're waiting a bit to announce it; gotta wait a bit, make sure we don't release in the same week as something big (like silksong, for example).

Another Dev video for ya, where I talk about the core mechanics of my upcoming game Myths are 100% True!

Like the title says, here I talk about how we turned Slow GTA Myth Investigations videos from 2008 into a Fast-Paced Twitchy Platformer-Combat hybrid game.

Not a lot of those!

Here's animation plans for the bullet hell enemy I mentioned in the video. Single Cells was their code-name. (also those 5 planned frames weren't enough, i had to draw 2 more to achieve a total of 12 frames cus it didn't work for triple groups.)

And then here's concept art for their final deisgn, Didn't mention it in the video, but the Yume Nikki gif isn't the only inspiration, they're also inspired by a bunch of spirit characters from touhou, and named after Ghost Dancers from Castlevania (10).

It talks about a lot of the inspirations and references featured just in the first chapter of the game!

Reception so far is that it's a pretty good video, lots of people seem to find it interesting and cool, and I'm glad!

I never really did post all my art in one place. I had twitter for that but I didn't post everything on there.

Hiiiiiii, this is my big big video game that I'm working on, and you can play the demo right now. Brought to you by the same people who made Hedgehog Dilemma for Robots (aaand, lead by one of the guys who made the binding of isaac: repentance)!

Myths are 100% True is an absurd but fast combat-platformer thing that feels like X-files if it was made by 12 year olds in Windows Movie Maker. The core gameplay being a Burst AOE attack that encourages getting multiple enemies in one shot (and also combos make more money, but you'll get there when you get there).

It's also got a wacky dash that lets you launch yourself off of any slop/ramp for more speed and movement.

Go out there and take photos no man has ever taken before and go to strange locations in this bizarre world and look for its many myths and secrets.

How to Become a King Ritual:

You will need any weapon of choice, as long as it has enough ammo. Go to your local scrapyard or city center and find a diamond shaped statue. When there, use your weapon to break down it's center. After the center is broken you need to feed it radiation, be careful, if the police catch you doing this they will shoot you on sight.

If you did everything right, the statue's center should start glowing with a powerful energy, you then must damage the rest of the statue and a swirling portal will appear and take you to an ancient temple. If you didn't do everything correctly, the statue will simply crumble apart and the police will continue to shoot you. The temple you enter is not very maze-like, but after wondering in the ancient temple for long enough you will find a central area that has a choice of many crowns to choose from. Pick one and put it on your head to become a king.

Every crown will give you a blessing; one will give you more wealth, some of them will let you find more love, but they also come with a curse, like making you less healthy or your opportunities in life will fade away sooner. You go from there worms.
